About the Waverley Netball Centre


Waverley Netball Centre is a first class indoor netball facility which is managed by the Waverley Night Netball Association and was officially opened in November 1994 by the Mayor of Waverley Council, Cr Patricia Cotton. Waverley Netball Centre was the brainchild of Mrs Anne George. Anne who is the president of the Waverley Night Netball Association became the appointed Centre Manager and took on the major task of managing the facility.

The aim of the Waverley Netball Centre is:

(1) To encourage and promote netball in the Waverley area.

(2) To organise and operate competitions to enable players from all metropolitan and nearby country areas to compete at all levels in a first class indoor netball centre.

(3) To bring to Waverley and Victoria a unique venue especially designed to operate international, national, state and local events.

(4) To provide elite netballers the opportunity to train and compete in an outstanding sporting facility.



Facilities at the Waverley Netball Centre include:

  • 8 outdoor synpave courts
  • Grandstand seating for 1300 +
  • Meeting rooms
  • Officals moom 
  • Canteen and eating area
  • Netball Shop

    We cater for a wide range of events. Since the centre opened in 1994 we have hosted a number of sports:

  • National and international netball events
  • Trampoline
  • Rythmic Gymnastics
  • Karate
  • Taekwondo, & 
  • Highland Dancing
